Golf places fifth in first-ever Atlantic East Conference Tournament

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Wesley College men's golf team concluded play in the first-ever Atlantic East Conference Championships in fifth place. The 28-hole tournament was held at the Scranton Country Club.

Wesley finished the second day of action with a team score of 558. Cody Simet finished in a three-way tie for 11th place after shooting an 89 on day two to finish with 132 in the tournament.

Josh Covey placed in a two-way tie for 16th place with 137. Kevin Polk and John Riggins earned top-25 finishes for Wesley. Polk finished 21st after carding a 143 while Riggins was right behind him with a 146.

Josh Windsor finished in 28th place with a 198 for both days of golf.

Cabrini earned the Atlantic East Conference Championship with a team total of 482. Cabrini's David Gall won the individual trophy with a two-day score of 119.
