Wesley Second in Mid-Atlantic
INDIANAPOLIS - The Wesley College men's basketball team moved up to second in the latest NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region rankings.
Based on data through February 6, the Wolverines had a record of 15-6 overall and were 14-2 against regional opposition. Since then, Wesley has added a victory over Marymount (Va.), which improves those numbers to 16-6 and 15-2.
La Roche in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, assumed the top spot in the Mid-Atlantic with records of 19-2 overall and 18-2 in region. After Wesley, fellow Capital Athletic Conference member St. Mary's (Md.) is third. Elizabethtown, last week's No. 1, dropped to fourth and Cabrini rounds out the top five.
The Wolverines have tied a school record with 11 straight wins and face a key conference and regional contest against St. Mary's on Saturday, February 12.
