Men’s Hoops Falls To CAC-Leading St. Mary’s

DOVER, Del. - Wesley College's men's basketball team fell to St. Mary's College, 94-68, in capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Wentworth Gymnasium.  The Wolverines fall to 10-13 overall and 8-6 in the CAC while the Seahawks improve to 18-6 and 12-3 in conference play.

scored 18 points including 12-of-14 from the charity stripe to lead Wesley.  Paul Reynolds also notched a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds while also dishing out a game-high four assists.

Wesley shot just 31.7% from the field as the Seahawks shot a blistering 57.1%.  The teams combined to make 60 free throws out of 80 attempts.  SMC made 32-of-43 from the line and the Navy & White made 28 of 37 shots from the stripe.

St. Mary's had four players score in double figures, led by Devin Spencer's 19.  The Seahawk bench scored 37 points compared to just 18 for Wesley's.

The Navy & White return to action on Wednesday, February 15, when they take on York (Pa.) in a pivotal CAC matchup.
