YORK, Pa. – For a league-leading third time this season, and for the second-straight week, Wesley College's David Langan has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
A senior center from Sayreville, N.J., Langan averaged 19.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 blocks per contest while shooting 70% from the field in a 2-0 week for the 10th-ranked Wolverines. Langan notched a double-double in both games, totaling 25 points and 15 rebounds against Penn State Harrisburg before posting a well-rounded line of 13 points and 10 boards, five assists, three steals and two blocks in Saturday's overtime win over St. Mary's.
Leading Wesley to a program-best 22-2 overall record and the top seed in the upcoming CAC Tournament, Langan led the conference in rebounds (11.0), field goal percentage (64.3) and blocks (2.0) while finishing third in scoring (16.8).
Langan and the Wolverines have a first round bye in the CAC Tournament and will host the winner of Christopher Newport/Salisbury on Thursday, February 27 at 7 pm in the CAC Semifinal. Tickets for the CAC Semifinal are $5 for all fans, no free admissions or complimentary passes will be accepted.
