Wolverines Fall Short in Conference Play

DOVER DE- A poor shooting night was the downfall for the Wesley Wolverines Men's Basketball team Saturday night in Fredericksburg, VA home of the Mary Washington Eagles. The Wolverines shot 29% from the field tonight, and was outscored by the Eagles in both halves.

 

The team was led by J.W Lawson who netted 18 points for the squad. Paul Clemons also added 12 points to the cause, while grabbing a team high 12 rebounds. Craig Sirmons contributed 7 points, and Brian Cameron scored 5 points for the Wolverines.

 

Mary Washington was led by Johnny Cronin who recorded 13 points on 6-9 from the field. The trio of Eric Shaw, Jacob Williams, and John Lutkenhaus added 12 points for the Eagles. Shaw also snatched 12 rebounds in the winning effort.

 

The Wolverines continue to have their suitcases packed as they take on CAC rival Salisbury Wednesday at 7:30pm in Salisbury, MD.
