Three Wolverines reach double figures against No. 14 Salisbury

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's basketball team dropped a Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) contest, 81-70 to No. 14 ranked Salisbury Seagulls Wednesday evening at Wentworth Gymnasium.

After trailing the Seagulls 36-26 at the half, the Wolverines cut the Seagull advantage to 47-45 with just over 12 minutes to go in regulation. But, the Wolverines weren't able to trim the lead anymore and the Seagulls held off the Wolverine pressure.

Three Wolverines netted double-digit point totals, led by freshman guard Brian Cameron. Cameron netted a game-high 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field. Cameron also grabbed six rebounds, dished out three assists and stole the ball twice.

Senior forward Jordan Johnson and junior guard JW Lawson both recorded 14 points for the Wolverines. Johnson went 6-of-9 shooting and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. Lawson also recorded six rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Sophomore guard Tyrone Craven handed out a career-high nine assists while junior forward Paul Clemons pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.

Justin Witmer scored 17 points for the Seagulls.

The Wolverines (8-12, 6-7 CAC) will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 4 when they travel to Arlington, Va. to take on the Marymount Saints in a CAC matchup. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
