DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's basketball team picked up an 82-75 win over the Immaculata Mighty Macs on Wednesday in their final home game of 2017.
Wesley shot 48.1 percent (26-54) from the field and connected on 81.3 percent (26-32) of their shots from the charity stripe. Wesley outrebounded Immaculata at a 48-37 clip.
The Wolverines were led by the efforts of Paul Clemons and Brian Cameron, who each recorded double-doubles. Clemons led all scorers with 28 points on 9-of-11 shooting and 10-for-11 from the free-throw line. Clemons also hauled in 13 boards and dished out four assists. Cameron tallied 18 points, hitting 5-of-6 from the free-throw line and collected 11 rebounds.
Evan Anderson added 18 points of his own, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line and stole the ball twice. Brandon Lewis pulled down seven rebounds while Mychal Stefanides handed out four assists and reeled in four rebounds.
Mike Piekarski recorded 20 points and pulled in nine rebounds for the Mighty Macs.
The Wolverines will enjoy the holiday season with their families and friends and will be back in action on Saturday, Dec. 30 as they travel to New York City to take on the City College of New York Beavers. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
