Clemons collects CAC Player of the Week honors

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Wesley College senior forward Paul Clemons picked up the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Player of the Week award for Dec. 26.

Clemons posted a 28-point, 13-rebound effort in the Wolverines' 82-75 victory over Immaculata on Dec. 20. Clemons shot 9-of-11 (81.8%) from the field and 10-of-11 (90.9%) from the free-throw line in the victory while also adding four assists and a steal. He scored 17 of his points in the second half, including eight points in the final six minutes to help Wesley pull away down the stretch.

Clemons leads Wesley in rebounding, averaging 6.1 rebounds per game.

It is the third time and the second consecutive week that a Wesley men's basketball player has earned CAC weekly honors. Sophomore guard Brian Cameron was named CAC Player of the Week on Dec. 18 while junior guard Evan Anderson collected the award on Nov. 27.
