DANBURY, Conn. – Wesley College sophomore guard Brian Cameron was named to the All-Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Second Team, as announced on Thursday.
Cameron is Wesley's first ECAC All-Star since Paul Reynolds collected ECAC First Team and Player of the Year honors after the 2012-13 season.
Cameron led the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) in scoring averaging 20.1 points per game and totaling 523 points on the season. He also tied for the CAC lead in three-point percentage (45.8), which was second-best in single-season Wesley history. He also ranked third in free-throw percentage (82.7).
Cameron also led the Wolverines with 83 assists, second in rebounding (146) and tied for third in steals (30).
During the season, Cameron notched 13 20-plus point games, four 30-plus point efforts, including scoring 30 points on Division I opponent Delaware on Nov. 17 and four double-doubles.
Last month, Cameron was named to the All-CAC First Team.
The Wolverines finished the 2017-18 season 13-13 overall and 9-9 in the CAC to qualify for their 11th consecutive berth in the CAC Championship Tournament.
