Harrison, N.Y. - The Wolverines hit the road to Harrison New York to Manhattanville College for the A.J Buchanan Classic. The Wolverines faced Manhattanville Friday night and fought hard through overtime but fell short of the win, 75-82.
Brian Cameron led the Wolverines in scoring for the sixth game in a row with 43 points, as he finished 14 of 30 from the field, knocked down five three-pointers and nine rebounds. Greg Bloodsworth posted 12 points, went 5 for 13 from the field, 2 for 7 in three-pointers and found four rebounds. Russ Keyhea tallied 12 rebounds on the night.
Wesley took the lead through most of the first of half, 15-10, but later in the first, a three-pointer put Manhattanville up 37-33 to end the first half.
Cameron opened scoring the second half after Terrence Braxton found a rebound to take it down court and pass to Cameron for a lay-up. Manhattanville took the lead until Wesley came back and tied the game, 71-71 to bring it to overtime.
Wesley took the lead again in overtime but Manhattanville outshot the Wolverines to take the win.
Wesley shot 37.5 percent from the field and finished 8 of 28 from behind the arc.
The Wolverines will continue their weekend play on Saturday against Morrisville in the consolation at 2:00p.m.
