Dallas, Pa. - The Wesley Men's Basketball team hit the road to Misericordia but fell to the Cougars 62-74. Brian Cameron led the Wolverines by putting up 27 points, going 11-for-18 from the field, and 2-for-2 free throws. Greg Bloodsworth added 14 points and Derick Charles added nine in the loss.
Misericordia took control early in the game, but Wesley came back and trailed the Cougars by one point, 13-14 with ten minutes left in the half. A three-pointer by Cameron would tie the game with two minutes left. Cameron with a jump shot off a defensive reboundallowed the Wolverines to take the lead going into the second half, 30-28.
The two teams traded points throughout the second but Misericordia outshot the Wolverines and posted 46 points to Wesley's 32, to take the game 74-62.
The Wolverines shot 36.2 percent from the field, 25 percent from behind the arc and 100 percent from the free throw line.
Next up, the team willbe back in Wentworth gym on Sunday, December 8th as they host Salisbury. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
