Wesley Men’s Basketball Cruises by Neumann, 83-62

Dover, Del. – Wesley secured their third consecutive win at home Wednesday night against Neumann, 83-62. The team improves to 13-8 overall while picking up their seventh conference win.

Down by nine in the first half at 11:19, the Wolverines' got their offense rolling on Brye Hopkins' layup which they surged off of to come within just one point 27-26 with 5:35 left in the half. Andrew Shepherd's three pointer put the team ahead 29-27 and Wesley never looked back from there, posting a 41-30 lead by the end of the half. 

The second half saw Wesley pull away with the lead and denying the Knights a chance at stealing it back. The Men's team led by as many as 22 points during the half, putting the nail in the coffin as they secured the win.

Brian Cameron and Terrence Braxton both posted double doubles. Cameron put up 18 points and 10 rebounds while making five of his six free throw attempts. Braxton had 10 rebounds and 13 points.

Michael McCants, Greg Bloodsworth and Mychal Stefanides all hit double digit points to add to the victory.

The Wolverines look to take another conference win against Immaculata on Saturday, Feb. 8th at 3:30 p.m. The game will take place inside the Jim & Shirley Wentworth Gymnasium.
