Arlington, Va - Wesley men's basketball falls just short of a win against the Marymount Saints in the first game of their unconventional season.
Wesley took a lead early scoring the first bucket of the game. The Saints took control shortly after and maintained a small, but solid, lead through most of the first half. Wesley started to make a comeback near the half cutting the Saints' lead to just two points going into the half.
The second half went off to a slow start for both teams. Wesley kept Marymount on a short leash with their lead through a majority of the second half. The Wolverines even brought it within four points with 4:30 left in the game.
Marymount held their lead through the end of the game. With a final score of 76-90, Marymount gave Wesley their first loss of the season.
The Wolverines look ahead to take on Christopher Newport at home on Sunday, March 7th. Tip-off is set for 3 pm.
