YORK, Pa. - Wesley College won the three-team coin flip for the fourth seed, entering the 2008 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Lacrosse playoffs, which begin with four games Monday, April 14.
The conference tiebreaking procedure finished with Wesley as the fourth seed, and the Wolverines will host fifth-seeded York in a first-round contest at 4:00 PM at Scott Miller Stadium. Mary Washington will be the No. 6 seed and visit St. Mary's in Monday's other first-round action.
Wesley had finished in a three-way tie with the Spartans and Eagles in the conference standings. After the Wolverines won the toss among the three teams, York was awarded the five-seed based upon its regular season victory over Mary Washington.
Wesley enters the eight-team tournament with an 8-5 record on the season, including a 9-8 win over the Spartans in which the Wolverines overcame an 8-6 deficit to win on a Brad Bivins goal with 14 seconds to play.
