Wesley Outlasts Greensboro 8-7

Charlottesville, Va. - Wesley College outscored Greensboro College 5-3 in a decisive fourth quarter en route to an 8-7 win at St. Annes Belfield School on Saturday.

The Pride ended its season at 5-10, while the Wolverines improved to 9-6.

Wesley trailed 4-3 entering the fourth quarter as the two teams combined for just seven goals through the first three periods before the offenses tallied eight in the final 15 minutes.  Pisacano, Tom Vaccaro and Matt Sewell each had an assist.

Brad Smith and Eric Crumbock each scored a pair of goals for Wesley.  Joe Trezza, Nick Pisacano, Luke Moeller and Jimmy Colliflower all had a goal in the win.

Jim McCleaft stopped 13 shots for the Wolverines.

Nick Patrone and Brian Butterworth both scored twice for GC.

Greensboro outshot Wesley 39-29.

Mike Foderaro had eight saves for The Pride.
