DOVER, Del. - Wesley College's Joe Trezza (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) had six points as the Wolverines stretched their win streak to four with a 13-8 win over visiting DeSales in a non-conference match up.
Five of those points, one goal and all four of his assists on the evening, came during the first half as the Wolverines (4-1) built an 8-3 lead.
After Brad Smith (Glen Burnie, Md./Old Mill) scored with an assist from Dan Skeels (Roseland, N.J./West Essex) to open the second half, the Bulldogs (0-3) scored three straight goals to cut the Wesley lead to 9-6. Smith, Justin D'Alonzo (Prospect Park, Pa./Interboro) and Rob King (Howell, N.J./Howell) stopped the run with consecutive goals to stretch the lead back to 12-6 at the end of the third period.
Kirk Waldie (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) led the Wesley defense with eight ground balls and four caused turnovers. Jim McCleaft (Media, Pa./Sun Valley) made eight saves.
D'Alonzo scored three goals in the game and now has eight in the past two contests. Smith, Skeels and Nick Pisacano (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) had two goals apiece.
Matthew Brancaccio had three goals and an assist for DeSales. Kevin Walker won 15-of-16 face offs, scooped up 12 ground balls and had a goal and an assist in the game.
