YORK, Pa. - Wesley College junior Brad Smith (Glen Burnie, Md./Old Mill) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his performance in three Wolverine victories last week.
He shares the award with Stevenson junior Steve Kazimer.
Smith scored the game-winning goal in two of the victories, wins over DeSales and York (Pa.). He opened the week by registering six assists and 10 points, both highs in the CAC this season, in a victory over Neumann. Smith then scored two goals against DeSales and two more against York, raising his weekly total to eight scores and helping the Wolverines extend their win streak to five games.
Kazimer totaled five goals, three assists and eight points in a pair of CAC wins for the Mustangs.
Wesley, winners of five straight, will look to continue its winning streak at Widener on March 18.
