Waldie, McCleaft Named All-Americans

BALTIMORE - Wesley College's Kirk Waldie (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) and Jim McCleaft (Media, Pa./Sun Valley) have been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America Team as honorable mentions.

Waldie, a senior captain, ranked second in the Capital Athletic Conference with a team-high 111 ground balls and ranks 22nd in Division III.  Waldie also has a team-high 42 caused turnovers, one goal and five assists on the year.  He had three games with double digit ground balls in 2009 and had at least five caused turnovers three times as well. 

McCleaft earned the honor after posting four games of at least 21 saves in 2009.  He stopped 191 shots and posted a saves percentage of .556 to go along with a goals against average of 9.19.  One of his 21 save efforts came in a one-goal loss at No. 1 Stevenson in the regular season.

Both players are four-time all-conference selections and were named to the All-CAC First Team in 2009. 

The helped lead the Wolverines to 11 wins as seniors, the most for the program since the 2000 season.
