SALISBURY, Md. - No. 3 Salisbury scored the first 13 goals of the game en route to a 24-5 win over Wesley College.
The Wolverines (1-6, 0-1 CAC) were held in check until Justin D'Alonzo (Prospect Park, Pa./Interboro) took a feed from Jack Skeels (Roseland, N.J./West Essex) with 6:05 left in the first half.
Wesley trailed 19-1 in the third quarter before going on a 3-1 run to close the third quarter and open the fourth. Rob King (Howell, N.J./Howell), Dan Skeels (Roseland, N.J./West Essex) and Eric Crumbock (Levittown, Pa./Truman) scored in the spurt, with Jack Skeels dishing out two more assists and D'Alonzo aiding on a score.
Dan Skeels finished with two goals, while Jack dished out three assists. Dan Tryon (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) led the team with four ground balls.
For the second straight game, Michael McGuigan (Middletown, Del./Middletown) and Corey Bousquet (Ridge, N.Y./Longwood) split time in goal. McGuigan got the start and made six saves before giving way to Bousquet, who stopped 11 shots.
Matt Cannone had three goals and four assists to lead Salisbury. Ryan Finch had 12 ground balls and won 13 face offs. Four different players split time in net for the Sea Gulls (8-0, 1-0 CAC).
Wesley is idle for a week before heading to St. Mary's (Md.) for a CAC contest on March 31.
