DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's men's lacrosse team dropped a hard-fought, 9-5 decision to DeSales University on Wednesday night at Scott D. Miller Stadium.  The Wolverines are now 2-8 on the season.

Scott Brozey led the Wolverines with three goals while Patrick Lipari and Nathan Gorski also found the back of the net.  Drew Hammer assisted on Lipari's goal.

Defensively, David Gorski caused four of Wesley's seven forced turnovers on the day and Michael McQuarrie tallied seven ground balls.

Matt Ryan and Sam Kennedy split time between the pipes for Wesley.  Ryan started the game and made one save in 41:30 while Kennedy blocked four shots in the final 18:30.

DeSales scored the first three goals of the game but Wesley clawed its way back with scores from Lipari and Brozey at the 8:13 and 6:01 marks of the second period, respectively, cutting the deficit to 3-2.

The Bulldogs were able to punch another in before the end of the half and scored the first two of the third period to open a 6-2 lead with 6:47 left in the quarter.

Once again, Wesley failed to go down quietly into the night as Gorski and Brozey cut the lead in half but that would be as close as the Navy & White would get as DeSales closed the game on a 3-1 run.
