YORK, Pa. – Wesley College's Michael McQuarrie has been named to the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Team, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday morning. McQuarrie, a second team recipient, is the first Wolverine to earn All-CAC honors since Eric Crumbock received second team mention in 2011.
A senior faceoff specialist from Bel Air, Md., McQuarrie had a career year for the Wolverines, setting personal bests in nearly every category. McQuarrie won 146-of-234 (62.4%) faceoffs on the year, finishing second in the CAC. He also added four goals and eight assists for 12 points in his final collegiate season.
In his four years with the Wolverines, McQuarrie won (517-of-942) 54.9% of his faceoffs to go with seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points in 58 games. He was also credited with 337 ground balls and 31 caused turnovers.
The Wolverines finished the season at 6-9 overall and reached the First Round of the CAC Tournament with an overtime victory over Marymount (Va.).
