SALISBURY, Md. – Wesley College's men's lacrosse team fell to No. 5 Salisbury University, 25-6, on Tuesday night at Sea Gull Stadium. The Wolverines now stand at 5-6 overall and 0-5 in the Capital Athletic Conference while Salisbury moves to 12-1 on the year and 5-1 in league play.
The Sea Gulls scored the game's first goal just 16 seconds in and tallied the first 11 points of the contest before Mike Rakos put Wesley on the board with 11:55 left in the second period. Salisbury, however, ran off four-straight before the half to take a 15-1 halftime lead.
Mahaffey and James Moss both found the back of the net in the fourth for the Navy & White as the duo, along with Rakos had multi-point games.
Ryan Ramsey had a team-high five ground balls for Wesley while Kyle Funk and Sylvester Tatman both caused a pair of turnovers. Sam Kennedy stopped 14 shots in the loss as Salisbury's Donovan Lange led all players with seven points on three goals and four assists.
