DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's men's lacrosse team fell to No. 17 York (Pa.), in Capital Athletic Conference action on Senior Day at Scott D. Miller Stadium Saturday afternoon.  The Wolverines fall to 5-7 overall and 0-5 in the CAC while the Spartans move to 12-3 on the year and 4-1 in league play.

Starting off strong, Wesley took a 1-0 lead as Jack Redefer scored via the unassisted variety just 48 seconds in.  The advantage was short lived; however, as the Spartans ran off three-straight before Wolverines defender Eric Bohns went coast-to-coast to score his first career goal with 3:56 left in the opening period.

York closed the quarter with a man-up goal but Sam Seibert found Jathan Mahaffey in front of the net for a score to open the second quarter, cutting the deficit to a single goal at 4-3 with 10:43 remaining.

It was all Spartans from there as the Green & White closed the half on a 4-0 run and outscored Wesley, 3-1 in the third to take a 11-4 lead.

Seibert and senior Patrick Lipari added goals for the Wolverines in the second half, giving Seibert a team-high two points.

Defensively, Josh Ladd caused five turnovers with five ground balls while Ryan Ramsey forced three.  Sam Kennedy made eight saves in the loss.

Tyler Hutson led all players with four goals and an assist for York.

The Wolverines close out the season on April 16 when they travel to Mary Washington for a 4 pm start.
