Men’s Lacrosse Picked 8th in CAC Preseason Poll

YORK, Pa. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team has been to finish eighth in the Capital Athletic Conference Preseason Poll which was announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Salisbury was a near-unanimous selection to finish first with seven of nine first place votes, followed by York, Frostburg, Christopher Newport, St. Mary's, Mary Washington, Marymount, the Wolverines and Southern Virginia.

Wesley returns three of its top five scorers from a year ago, including its biggest playmaker in junior Sam Seibert. Also returning on offense is senior James Moss and junior Jack Redefer who combined for over 30 goals last season.

The back end looks to be the strength of the squad with a trio of longtime starting defenders returning in senior Kyle Funk, captain Josh Ladd and junior Eric Bohns in front of senior goalkeeper Sam Kennedy.

Ferrum College visits Wesley on February 14 at 1 pm for the start of the 2015 season.
