Dean’s Debut Earns Him CAC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

YORK, Pa. – Wesley College's Josh Dean has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

A freshman goalkeeper from Glen Burnie, Md., Dean got the start between the pipes in his collegiate debut and proceeded to make 14 saves in an 11-4 season-opening win over Ferrum in snowy conditions.  Dean faced 27 Panthers shots on the day with 18 on target, good for a 77.8 save percentage.

Dean and the Wolverines (1-0) return to action on Saturday, February 21 when they travel to take on Shenandoah University (2-0) in a 1 pm faceoff.  The Hornets defeated Southern Virginia from the CAC and Methodist to start off their season.
