Men’s Lacrosse Hangs on To Defeat Huntingdon in Rainy Wednesday Night Affair

DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's men's lacrosse team hung on to defeat Huntingdon College, 10-8, on a rainy Wednesday night at Scott D. Miller Stadium.  The Wolverines move to 5-2 on the year while the Hawks fall to 2-10.

Jack Redefer notched a hat trick for Wesley and Joe Fingles recorded an identical three points on two goals and an assist as the Wolverines took a 10-5 lead with unassisted goals by James Moss (2g) and Patrick Barrow with 12:54 left in regulation.

Huntingdon got two-straight goals by LaDarius Williams, cutting the deficit to three goals with 1:47 left to play.  The Hawks added another goal on the man-up 40 seconds later but that was all they could muster as Wesley won the ensuing faceoff and maintained possession.

Josh Dean was credited with ten saves in goal for the Wolverines to earn the win while Eric Bohns led all players with three caused turnovers and matched Jack O'Neill with a game-high five ground balls.  O'Neill won 14-of-20 faceoffs on the night.

Williams and Jakob Works both had three goals to lead Huntingdon.

The Wolverines host St. Mary's on Saturday, March 28 in a 2 pm Capital Athletic Conference faceoff.
