Cella receives CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors

DOVER, Del. -- Wesley freshman goalkeeper James Cella was named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Cella was honored by the conference after securing a pair of wins in goal in a 2-0 week for the Wolverines. Cella posted a 58.1 save percentage in victories over Rosemont and Immaculata, totaling 25 saves on the week, including 20 stops against Immaculata. He registered a goals against average of 8.70 in the two contests.

Cella ranks fifth in the CAC with 31 saves and 45.6 save percentage this season.

The Wolverines will return to action on Wed., March 1 when they travel to the U.S. Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. to take on Hanover (Ind.) Panthers. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
