Wassum leads Wesley over Hanover

SPARKS, Md. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team outlasted the Hanover Panthers, 9-7 in a non-conference matchup Wednesday afternoon at the U.S. Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.

Josh Wassum led the Wolverines with a five-goal performance, setting a new career-high. Wassum also caused two turnovers in the win.

Zach Farnell, Will Fingles, Adam Tewey and Zach Weitzel each netted a goal for the Wolverines. Joe Fingles notched three assists while Will Fingles, Leo Kelly and Zach Weitzel each tallied an assist.

James Cella stopped 16 Panther shots in the win.

The Wolverines (3-1) will be back in action on Saturday, March 4 when they host the Mount Union Purple Raiders at 1 p.m.
