Gemmato nets hat trick in loss to Mount Union

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-8 decision to the visiting Purple Raiders of Mount Union on Saturday.

Nate Gemmato led the Wolverines with a hat trick. Gemmato also assisted on Leo Kelly's goal in the second half. Gemmato also recorded six ground balls and won 10-of-16 faceoffs.

Adam Tewey notched two goals while Kelly, Joe Fingles and Zach Farnell each tallied a goal. Josh Wassum, Chris Smith and Zach Weitzel each added an assist in the loss.

James Cella made 13 stops in net for the Wolverines.

The Purple Raiders were led by Chris Daley, who put away five goals.

The Wolverines (3-2) will be back in action on Wed., March 8 when they travel to Virginia to take on the Ferrum Panthers. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
