Wesley drops CAC opener at Frostburg St.

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team were upended by the Frostburg State Bobcats, 11-2 on Saturday in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) action.

Josh Wassum gave Wesley the early 1-0 lead thirty seconds in the game but the Wolverines were unable to sustain the early momentum. Zach Farnell tallied the other Wesley goal on an assist in the fourth quarter from Joe Fingles. Nate Gemmato picked up three ground balls while Leo Kelly corralled two ground balls in the loss.

James Cella stopped eleven shots in net for the Wolverines.

Chase Cullison scored four goals for the Bobcats.

The Wolverines (4-5, 0-1 CAC) will begin a three-game home stand on Wednesday when they host the Mary Washington Eagles in a CAC matchup. Action from Drass Field at Scott D. Miller Stadium starts a 4 p.m.
