Wesley nets four fourth quarter goals against Mary Washington

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team dropped a Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) game on Wednesday to the Mary Washington Eagles, 16-5.

Josh Wassum tallied two goals for the Wolverines while Leo Kelly, Hunter Coho and Zach Weitzel each netted a goal in the loss.

Joe Fingles and Nate Gemmato each notched assists in the game. Gemmato also scooped up six ground balls and caused two turnovers. Mitch Griffith also caused two turnovers and recorded four ground balls. Fingles and Nick Bruhn grabbed three ground balls respectively.

James Cella registered 15 saves in goal for the Wolverines.

Drew Carlson led the Eagles with four goals.

The Wolverines (4-6, 0-2 CAC) continue their three-game CAC homestand on Saturday when they host the St. Mary's Seahawks at Drass Field at Scott. D. Miller Stadium. The conference tilt is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
