Men’s Lacrosse stumbles at home to Frostburg St.

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team suffered an 11-2 loss at home to the Frostburg St. Bobcats in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) action on Saturday.

Wesley was held scoreless through the first half but was able put two goals on the board in the third quarter. Halfway through the third quarter, Josh Wassum fought through the Frostburg defense to score Wesley's opening goal of the game.

In the final minute of the third quarter, Zach Weitzel recovered a deflected pass in the front of the crease and found the back of the net.

Zach Darnell paced the defense with three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Adam Tewey caused a pair of turnovers. Zach Farnell scooped up four ground balls in the loss.

James Cella stopped 10 shots and picked up four ground balls in three-quarters of work in net.

The Wolverines finish up their three-game homestand on Wednesday when they take on future Atlantic East Conference mate Marymount. Opening faceoff of the CAC contest is set for 7 p.m.
