Men’s Lacrosse celebrates seniors against No. 16 CNU

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team fell to the No. 16 ranked Christopher Newport Captains, 20-3 in their regular season finale on Saturday.

Wesley scored three goals in the third quarter. Zach Farnell notched the first goal for Wesley three minutes into the second half when he finished off a feed from Josh Wassum. Three minutes later, Zach Weitzel powered through strong CNU defense for an unassisted goal.

Before the end of the third quarter, Wassum found Joe Fingles with a wraparound goal that trickled past the CNU goalkeeper.

Nolan Vesey paced the Wesley defense with four caused turnovers. Adam Tewey scooped up four ground balls in the midfield.

Prior to the game, Wesley honored seniors Joe Fingles, Will Fingles, Josh Wassum, Chris Smith and Zach Darnell.

The Wolverines finish the 2018 season 3-12 overall and 1-7 in the Capital Athletic Conference.
