Rosemont, Pa. - The Wesley Men's Lacrosse team opened their season with an away game at Rosemont, Saturday February 22nd. The team defeated Rosemont 14-10.

Adam Tewey got things going for the Wolverines early in the first quarter off a feed from freshman Ryan Gilman. After that, neither team scored until Wesley's Kyle Lloyd found the back of the net from Joe Delgado

Rosemont found it in them to score four goals with three minutes left to play in the first quarter, going into the second leading 4-2.

Right off the bat, Lloyd muscled another Wolverine goal, assisted by Tewey. Rosemont answered back immediately with two goals of their own, 6-3.

Wesley got three back to back goals, first by Tewey then by freshman Joe Delgado and again from Tewey, all unassisted.

The Wolverines went unto the third tied with Rosemont, 6-6.

Wesley gained a comfortable lead halfway through the second half of the game leading 13-8 at 7:04 (fourth quarter). Two back to back goals for Rosemont was not enough as the last goal of the game was scored by Wesley's Tewey for a Wolverine win 14-10.

The team will welcome Ferrum to Drass Field Sunday, March 1st for their first home game of the season at 11:00 a.m.
