Men’s Lacrosse Battles Immaculata

IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Wolverines opened their 2021 season Saturday away against Atlantic East Conference foe Immaculata in non-conference action. 
 
After spending almost a year away from competition, Wesley stepped off the bus and right into game mode as they took an early lead over the Mighty Macs. 
 
Senior Nick Bruhn started things off just 1:27 into the first quarter finding the back of the net with Junior Derek Hallock following shortly after to give the Wolverines a 2-0 lead. 
 
Immaculata would then go on to score five goals before Hallock was able to get Wesley back on the board 6:14 into the second quarter. The Wolverines would continue to push the ball into Mighty Mac territory when Junior Dontay Jones found an open Enosh Angelot who notched his first collegiate goal to trail Immaculata 5-4 at half. 
 
The second half fell in the favor of the Might Macs as they left Wesley scoreless in the third quarter while racking up four goals of their own to increase their lead 9-4.
 
Sophomore Joe Delgado opened the fourth quarter strong for the Wolverines scoring off a feed from Hallock :21 in. Wesley would only earn one more goal from Sophomore Ryan Gilman before falling to Immaculata 11-6. 
 
Senior goalie Dylan Sicca faced 30 shots and recorded 19 saves for Wesley. 
 
The Wolverines officially open Atlantic East Conference play on Saturday March 27th away at Gwynedd Mercy and will have a rematch with the Mighty Macs at home to close out the season April 17th.
