David Ferraro enters his first year as an assistant coach in 2018-19 with the Wesley men’s lacrosse program.
Ferraro comes to Wesley after serving two seasons as the West Virginia University Club Assistant Lacrosse Coach, working primarily with the faceoff unit. Ferraro also gained coaching experience serving as the Head Junior Varsity and Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach for three seasons at University High School in Morgantown, W.Va. The University Hawks were back-to-back West Virginia State Champions in 2017 and 2018. In 2017, Ferraro earned the 2017 Wilson Shuman Award, which is given annually to the state’s top assistant coach.
Outside of lacrosse, Ferraro spent two semesters as a strength & conditioning intern with University High School working with the lacrosse team as well as the football, men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, women’s soccer and track & field teams.
Ferraro earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Coaching Education with a minor in strength & conditioning from West Virginia University in Dec. 2016. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Sport Leadership from Wesley.
