MANALAPAN, N.J. - Wesley College opened its 2011 season in style with a 5-0 win in a neutral site game against CCNY.
The Wolverines received two goals from Kyle Long (Delaware, Ohio/Buckeye) to lead the offense. Joshua Chelleh (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) assisted on a pair of scores.
Michael Monticchio (Middletown, Del./Middletown) added a score, as did newcomers Dan Featherer (Logan Twp./Kingsway Regional) and Guillermo Herrera (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex).
Five goals proved more than enough for the Wesley defense, who held the Beavers to just five shots, only two of which were on net.
