RADNOR, Pa. – Eman Amao scored both of Wesley College's goals to give the Wolverines a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Cabrini College in the Championship Game of the Cavaliers' Labor Day Kick-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines are now 2-0 on the year which is their best start since 2008.
Cabrini took the early lead in the 15th minute as Bobby Kane took a pass from Mohammed Konneh to beat Sanders, however, Amao tied it up just over 18 minutes later off a feed from Mileski, his third assist of the tournament. The score remained tied at one for the remainder of the first half as the Cavaliers outshot Wesley, 8-2 in the first 45 minutes.
The Wolverines were more aggressive with possession in the second half, outshooting Cabrini, 9-5 in the period. Amao's game-winner came in the 68th minutes as Oluwatobi Sowande put him in position for the score.
Sanders made one save for the Navy & White to earn his second victory of the season while RJ Pino made seven stops for the Cavaliers.
Wesley returns to action on September 6-7 for the Franklin & Marshall/Lebanon Valley Tournament. The Wolverines will take on Gwynedd Mercy in the opener at 1 pm.
