Men’s Soccer Falls to #7 Franklin & Marshall in F&M/LVC Championship Game

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Wesley College's men's soccer team fell to 7th-ranked Franklin & Marshall, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon in the Championship Game of the F&M/Lebanon Valley Tournament.  The loss was the Wolverines first of the season after winning their first two games while the Diplomats remain perfect at 4-0.

Franklin & Marshall scored just one goal in the first half, in the 34th minute, despite taking seven shots as Wesley goalkeeper Ryan Sanders made one save in each period.  The Diplomats were able to add insurance goals in the 61st and 82nd minute.

Holden Wingate, Keroll Newby and Shane Casey each were credited with a shot attempt on the day.

The Wolverines return to action on Wednesday, September 10, when they travel to face Penn State York in a 4 pm kickoff.
