DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's men's soccer team dropped its Capital Athletic Conference opener to Frostburg State, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Scott D. Miller Stadium. The Wolverines now stand at 5-3-1 overall while the Bobcats improve to 6-2-1.
Despite outshooting Frostburg, 17-8 for the game and 15-3 in the second half, Wesley was unable to put a shot past Hassan Mostafa, who made four saves for the Bobcats.
Nabayee Tesfu headed in a deflection for Mitchell Muise in the 14th minute to give Frostburg the 1-0 lead before Rodrigo Valenzuela scored in the 83rd minute to seal the win.
Ryan Sanders stopped one shot for Wesley.
The Wolverines return to action on Saturday, September 4 when they host Christopher Newport in a 6 pm start.
