YORK, Pa. – Wesley College's men's soccer team fell at York (Pa.), 3-1, in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night. The Wolverines fall to 7-7-1 overall and 2-5 in the CAC while the Spartans move to 6-6-4 on the year and 3-3-1 in league play.
York took a 1-0 lead early in the second half after both teams went scoreless for the first 45 minutes. Greg Bechard put the Spartans on top with a goal at 45:47, but it was less than five minutes later that Wesley tied the score.
Shaune Gorman got the game-tying goal in the 51st minute off an assist by Will Mileski and Holden Wingate. Mileski played in a free kick which was headed by Wingate right to Gorman who finished on the right.
York's Ryan Ockford got the goal back in the 60th minute before adding an insurance goal via penalty kick at 86:38.
Ryan Sanders took the loss for the Navy & White despite stopping five shots.
The Wolverines travel to Mary Washington on Saturday, October 25 for a 3:30 pm start.
