DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College Men's Soccer team had two players named to the Delmarva Cup All-Tournament Team after their performances this weekend. Midfielder Danny Garza and defender Jaki Farlow earned the All-Tournament honors.
Wesley went 0-2 in the tournament, falling to Randolph-Macon and Hampden-Sydney in back-to-back games this weekend. Head Coach Steve Clark looked at the weekend as a learning experience for his squad.
"As a team we need to deal better with adversity, other players have to step up and compete," said the coach. "We are young and experiences like this will help players develop. I know we can all perform better. We pick these lads to do a job and they have to rise to the occasion."
Wesley will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they host Cairn University. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and the Wolverines will be celebrating the Delaware Union, their partnered youth team, and invite all youth soccer players to come out and enjoy the match.
