DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College Men's Soccer team traveled to York College to take on the Spartans on Wednesday evening, but found themselves on the losing end of the affair falling 4-0 to the Spartans.
Will Mileski managed a pair of attempts on goal while Nektario Athanasiou, Matthew Dina, and Jaki Farlow each ripped shots on goal as well. Tanner Yaw made five saves on the day but took the loss between the pipes.
The Wolverines fell behind in the 21st minute when York found the net on a header. York added tow more goals before the halftime whistle as the Spartans gained a 3-0 lead at the half. Mileski and Farlow both had first half opportunities, with Farlow's coming on a corner kick set piece, but neither could beat the York keeper.
In the second half, York added another goal just over 10 minutes in to take a 4-0 lead. The Wolverines continued to battle to the final whistle, but could not find the net as the squad fell to their CAC opponents.
Wesley will travel to Mary Washington for their final regular season road game on Saturday, October 22 before returning home for Senior Night against Salisbury on October 26.
