Wesley shuts out Valley Forge for first win of season

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa.- The Wesley College men's soccer team earned their first victory of the 2017 season on Sunday with a 4-0 shutout over the Valley Forge Patriots. 

Darius-David Robinson notched his fourth goal on the season as he opened things up for the Wolverines 13 minutes into the game. Shortly after, Luiz Cruz would get in on the action as he would head the ball past Valley Forge's Bryan Ardon off a corner from

Danny GarzaThen in the second half, a couple of Wolverines would get on the score sheet for the first time this season. Nicholas Hood (48:49) and Darren Lewis (76:01) would each notch their first goals of the season and help seal the deal for the Wolverines

Garza tallied two first-half assists in the game. Cruz registered an assist on Hood's goal while John Vazquez recorded an assist on Lewis' goal.

In his first collegiate start, Jake Price earned his first career victory and his first career clean sheet. Price made two saves in the win.

The Wolverines (1-4) are back in action this Wednesday as they travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to take on the Penn State Abington Lions. Game time is at 4:00 p.m.
