DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's soccer team hosted the Aggies of Delaware Valley at home on Wednesday and took the 1-0 victory.
Wesley and Delaware Valley went back and forth in the first half and would go into halftime with a scoreless tie.
In the 69th minute, Wesley would get on the scoreboard courtesy of the left foot of defender Jaki Farlow. After a foul by Delaware Valley, Nicholas Hood would play a ball off to the wing to Farlow, who cut the ball back just outside the box and curved it near post past the diving Aggie goalkeeper.
The Wesley defense held DelVal to three shots. Goalkeeper Kyle Springsteen saved the only shot he faced in the shutout victory.
The Wolverines are back in action Saturday when they travel to Newport News, Va. for a conference matchup against the Christopher Newport Captains. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
