DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's soccer team came out with a 3-1 Captial Athletic Conference (CAC) victory in their Senior Night against the York (Pa.) Spartans on Wednesday.

Wesley scored the first goal of the game when Nicholas Hood put away a rebound outside the box after the initial shot by Danny Garza 14 minutes into the game.

Chimaobi Ikwuagwu put Wesley up 2-0 in the 70th minute when he drew a foul inside the box and then converted the penalty kick.

York's Zion Friday cut the Wesley lead to one in the 76th minute off a failed clearance from Wesley.

Ikwuagwu would seal the victory in the 83rd minute for the Wolverines when Luis Cruz won a free ball in the midfield and passed it ahead to Ikwuagwu, who finished past the Spartan goalkeeper.

Goalkeeper Kyle Springsteen saved two out of the three shots that came his way.

The Wolverines will be back on the field this Saturday when they travel to St. Mary's City, Md. for a CAC match against the Seahawks of St. Mary's College of Maryland. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
