DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's soccer team shutout the Rosemont Ravens, 2-0 on Saturday to extend their season-opening undefeated streak to six games.

The Wolverines got the scoring started five minutes into the game. Cristian Chavez found Nicholas Hood on a throw-in, who would then put a cross in to the top of the 18-yard box. Caden Sundermann tracked Hood's cross the entire way and let a shot rip on the volley and beat the Rosemont goalkeeper to give the Wolverines the 1-0 lead.

Late in the second half, Wesley secured the win when Darius-David Robinson led the Wolverine counter-attack down the sideline and played a through ball to Jordan Angel, who slipped the ball past the Ravens keeper to the far corner for his first goal in a Wolverine uniform.

The defense locked down the Rosemont offense, limiting the Ravens to six shots. Kyle Springsteen earned his fourth win of the season in net, stopping two Rosemont shots.

The Wolverines (6-0) will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 19 when they travel to Chestertown, Md. to do battle with the Washington Shoremen. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
