Wolverines Win Fourth Straight Game After Upsetting DeSales 6-2

How it happened

The Wolverines now 5-3-1 overall, traveled to DeSales on Saturday, September 28, 2019 and brought home a win. 

The first half of the game got off to a quick start when Wesley's Justin John-Langba found the net to put the Wolverines on the board. 18 minutes later Joseph Esubalew found Andrew Schnaack on a nice cross to bring the score 2-0 Wesley.

After back and forth play for the remaining of the first half, two minutes into the second half, DeSales found an opportunity to score twice to bring the game to a tie, 2-2.

Justin John-Langba answered back quickly and scored only second later to take the lead again 3-2. Immediately after, Kaiden Fields scores on a penalty kick, 4-2 Wesley.

David Darius-Robinson scored next off a corner kick from Kieran Sundermann to bring the score to 5-2. Robinson scored one more time late in the second quarter to bring the score 6-2.

Wesley's defense held strong to end the game with a 6-2 win.

"Exciting win for us at DeSales homecoming. Proud of the response from the team after DeSales fought back to tie the game at two each. We showed good character and continue to mature. Our forwards are connecting better and hopefully we can keep this positive momentum going." Coach Clark
