The match started out fast when the Griffins got on the board in the 3rd minute of the first quarter. The Wolverines answered back quickly when Justin John-Langba took it to the back of the net unassisted to tie the game 1-1.

Justin John-Langba scored again seconds later on a beautiful cross from Daniel Morrison allowing him to head the ball into the back of the net to bring the score to 2-1.

Comments from the Coach

"Of course, the win is the most important thing, it doesn't matter how well you play or how many chances you got. In the end everyone wants to know if you won, and we did, and we are happy with that. We still have to be more clinical in the finishing and a bit cleaner on offense and be aware of the counter but it's an opening win for conference play and we are excited about that" Coach Clark

Inside story

The Wolverines will head to Old Westbury, a non-conference match up scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 12th.
