Matthew Dina Awarded Atlantic East Player of the Year Honor

Lancaster, Pa. – Reigning Atlantic East Defensive Player, Senior Matthew Dina ends his final season at Wesley as the Atlantic East Player of the Year.

Every player on the team will tell you that they believed he deserved the honor and are grateful for having the opportunity to play with Matt.

Matt's work rate in season and over the summer has been superb, his leadership, athleticism and soccer ability have helped him be the best in the Atlantic East. After coming off a season ending injury in 2017, Matt worked hard in the 2018 season and his efforts paid off as he was named AEC Defensive Player of the Year. That energy carried straight into the 2019 season as he continued to work hard in the back field and help lead his team to a 11-7-1, 5-2 record. Their season is not quite over yet as the team will now head into ECAC play as they take on Arcadia at Arcadia on Saturday in the first round.

"Brilliant for Matt, so well deserved and a wonderful reward for the work he has put into his game and to helping our team". Coach Clark
